Bouncing babies on knees in Atlanta one day, Karla and Sarah dreamed up Helmsie. Karla designs the products while Sarah runs the business. They have always agreed that the very best goods are practical and pretty, something both mama and baby enjoy.

Helmsie's online retail store carries the goods they dreamed up, as do over 200 retail stores across the US and abroad. Helmsie has designed products for other companies who make marvelous things as well, like hand-screen printed wallpaper for Hygge & West, beautiful patterned home goods for Creative Co Op, and luxury bedding for Redland Cotton.

Karla lives in Athens, GA with her husband, Joseph, their daughter, Lucie, and dogs Clover and George. A Fibers SCAD graduate with an emphasis in Surface Design, Karla has been creating repeat patterns for the Home and Gift industry for 17 years.

Sarah lives in Atlanta, Georgia with her husband, Nicholas, their sons, Helms and Lewis, and dog Goose. An engineer turned entrepreneur, she manages all things business for the brand, while collecting a small town’s worth of vintage jewelry on the side.
